Ronald was born on March 21, 1937 in Caspian, MI, the son of the late Albert & Edith (Nystrom) Westphal. He was educated in the schools of Stambaugh, MI. Ronald was a member of the U.S. Army. He married Catherine Hickey on February 29, 1964 in Waukegan, IL. Ronald was employed at Johnson Motors/OMC for 28 years as a corporate purchasing analyst. His hobbies included fishing, fixing things, cheering for the Cubs & Packers, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Westphal of Pleasant Prairie; daughters, Laura (Wayne Lenzner) Ingram of Antigo, WI, Barbara (Donald) Beam of Kenosha; his son, Robert Westphal of Kenosha; brothers, Orville, Ray, Gary, and Glenn Westphal; 6 grandchildren, Eric (Melissa), Michael (Mary), Janelle, Brittany, Lindsey, and Donald "Bubba"; and 7 great grandchildren. Ronald was preceded in death by a son, Chuck Westphal, brothers, Merle, Bruce, David, and Jack, and sisters, Betty & June.
Funeral services were private. Entombment Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Ronald's family would to thank Hospice Alliance, especially Dawn & Becca, for all of the care that they provided.
