From KMos (#47419849) - In family trees his full name was John Henry Jacob Gross, son of Conrad Gross (1822-1888) and Juliane Katherine Diehlmann. In the 1880 Census he was living with his parents in Bremen, Randolph County, Illinois, age 22. According to my "Mueller" family tree notes, this is where he met his first wife. His first wife was Clara Froebel (1863-1900). His parents are buried in Randolph County, Illinois. To date, we do not know where Clara is buried. It is stated in the notes that Henry and Clara moved to Pittsburgh where they were close to her step-"Mueller" brothers.
