McSweyn , James F. Sr., St. Charles, Michigan. Beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away Friday, November 24, 2006 at Luther Manor. Age 96 years. He was born July 16, 1910 in Saginaw County, the son of the late John and Cecila (Kennedy) McSweyn . He was a life-long farmer and also had been employed as school custodian for St. Charles Public Schools, retiring in 1977 after 10 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He married Mary Eleanor Sheltraw January 15, 1933; she survives him. He also leaves two daughters and three sons and their spouses, Ann (Richard) Bellenbaum, St. Charles; Donald "Duke" (Leota) McSweyn , Saginaw; John "Buck" (Bernice) McSweyn , Sharon (Don) Walker, and Thomas "Skin" (Linda) McSweyn , and another daughter-in-law, Cindy McSweyn , all of St. Charles; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and their families; special friends Larry and Dodie McCormick, St. Charles. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son James McSweyn Jr., a grandson Jeff McSweyn , and three brothers and their spouses, Alex (Eva) McSweyn , Neil (Reva) McSweyn , and Hugh (Hilda) McSweyn . Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road. Dr. Harold J. Slater will officiate with burial in the Nelson Cemetery, Fremont Township. Friends may call at the chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday.
