Surviving are two sons: Mark (Teresa), Springboro, and Craig (Gail), Louisville, KY; a son-in-law, Nelson Barhorst, Ft. Loramie; his caregiver, Mary Jane DeLoye; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a daughter, Ann Barhorst; a brother, Ralph (Marie); and a sister, Laura Poeppelman.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, retired Minster Police Chief, and former Forman at Autokraft Box Corp. He was also co-founder of Western Ohio Little League and served as a coach.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, with Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating.
