Clara Schwingle dies at age of 87
Mrs. Clara Schwingle, 87, Boscobel, died Boscobel Memorial Hospital Wednesday, Sept. 21. She was an area resident all her life and was born January 13, 1896, in Muscoda Twp. to John P. and Mary (Orth) Bremmer. She married Otto Schwingle May I5, 1917, and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and Altar Society. Her husband preceded her in death January 24, 1978. She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Beth in 1978, Mary Lyle in 1974, and an infant daughter Jean, in 1930. Survivors include a daughter. Mrs. Leonard (Joan) Richter of Boscobel and a son John Schwingle of rural Boscobel; a sister Florence Mathews, of Muscoda; two sisters-in-law, Helen Schwingle and Mayme Schwingle; 18 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Services wen held Friday at the Immaculate Conception Church with Father Pat Doherty officiating. Burial was made in the John's Cemetery at Muscoda. Arrangements were Beeman Funeral Home, Boscobel.
