She was a special lady. She sang in church, passed out Christmas cards with her little santa hat on, helped run the church food bank and fed anyone and everyone who visited her home. She only had one stipulation... NO CURSING! She even had her a sign posted on the door! She did everything she could for everyone around her. Marie was best known for her Homemade Bisquits and Gravy which everyone loved them! Marie was country to the bone and happy that way. She was Beautiful and Smart and loving. She was the glue that held the family together.
Marie passed away July 19, 2005 at home in Bartley WV with her husband and 4 kids surrounding her bedside as she requested. She died at the age of 59 from Pancreatic cancer.
She is buried in Asbury/Jewell Cemetary On Bradshaw Mt. in Paynesville, West Virginia next to her sister in law Bessie Blizzard and her mother in law Nellie Keaton.
