Gloria M. (Jinx) Armbrust of Upper Arlington; died Friday, February 13, 1998 of lung cancer, she was 72. Jinx was the owner & president of Southview, Inc. for over 30 years. She was a World War II, U.S. Marine Corp Veteran & a member of the Players Club, Treasurer of the Clairs of Bethlehem, Founder & President of Raccoons Unlimited and an avid animal advocate. Preceded in death by husband, Mel K. Armbrust. She is survived by her 5 children, Sandra Armbrust of Newburyport, Mass., Kenneth (Susan) Armbrust of Westerville, Christine Armbrust of Worthington, Melissa Armbrust of Seattle, Wash. & Joy Armbrust of Columbus; 7 grandchildren, Eric Anthony, Hannah, Caleb, Alezah, Micah, Esther & Josiah; brothers, Rudy & Anthony Mannetti; sister, Eda Zarrella; nieces & nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 1998 at St. Michael Church, 5750 North High Street, Worthington. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery with Miltary Graveside Rites by The Leasure Blackston Post 239 American Legion. Friends may call at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with a Prayer Service being conducted at 8:30 p.m. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that memorial contributions be made to the Sierra Club and the Columbus Zoo.
