Obituary appeared in Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home listing as of Aug 12, 2014:
Alvina Ann Scheppers, 81, of Jefferson City, died Monday, August 11, 2014, at Villa Maria. She was born on September 14, 1932, in Folk, Missouri, the daughter of the late Joseph Stephen and Cecilia Ann (Finke) Koehne. She was raised on the farm and learned all the lessons that life teaches. The gardening, canning and sewing would all prove to be very valuable later for a large family. She was united in marriage on October 23, 1954, in Folk, to Albert William Scheppers who preceded her in death on July 19, 2005. The funniest quirk was always that they shared the same exact birthday to the point that they never really didn't know for sure who was older. Alvina devoted most of her life to her family as a room mother, den mother, countless school activities, and boy and girl scouts activities. She also spent time working for Hertz Fabric Store, Milo H. Walz Drapery Department, Convenient Food Mart, and at Central Services at St. Mary's Health Center. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Immaculata Club, Daughters of Isabella, and St. Mary's Health Center Auxiliary. Alvina was proud to be a member of the Cole County Grand Jury in 2000 and honored to receive the Lawn of the Month with her husband in October of 1989.

Survivors include: six children, Sallie (Bill) Young, Niangua, Mo; Dianna Welch; Brenda (Brad) Jones; Paul (Debbie) Scheppers; Mary (Jerry) Holsman, all of Jefferson City; and Jim Scheppers, Russellville. She will also be missed by her 11 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons-in-law, Larry Welch and Keith Distler; and a grandson, Jason Welch. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. David D. Cox officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1206 E. McCarty Street, Jefferson City, Mo 65101; Breast Cancer Awareness; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
