Stan Derencin, Jr., 34, of Hoover, died peacefully at home on October 30, 2008 after an extended illness. He is survived by his parents, Stan and Cynthia Derencin.
He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 2nd, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Ridout's Valley Chapel, with a rosary service beginning at 7:15 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 3rd, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Monsignor Muller will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church or Evercare Hospice. Services are under the direction of Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood.
