Lucien attended Berlin schools.

From 1948-1952, he served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Returning from the Navy, he married Lucia D. Croteau on April 19, 1952. Together they raised two sons and four daughters.

Lucien was employed as a Spare Crew Supervisor with Brown Company and retired from the mill under Crown Vantage with 42 years of service.

He also owned and operated Lucien's Barbershop out of his home since 1954 and was employed by Fleury-Patry Funeral Home for many years.

Lucien was a life member of Berlin VFW Post #2520 and served as past commander and Gorham American Legion Post # 82. He was also a member of Eagles and was past President of the Holy Names Society.

His past times included hunting, fishing, and flying with his son Normand.

Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by an infant son Lucien Joseph Dupuis, a brother Raymond Dupuis, and two sisters Jeannette Gilbert and Lorraine Boiseveault.

He leaves his wife of 62 years Lucia D. Dupuis of Berlin, Two sons Normand Dupuis and wife Hunky of Berlin and Richard Dupuis of Port Ritchie, FL Four daughters Linda Labbe of Marlborough, CT, Helene Chouinard of Michigan, Lucille Boutin and husband Timothy of Shelburne, NH, and Nancy Lachance of Dover, NH, 12 Grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, a brother Romeo Dupuis and wife Jackie of Berlin, and a sister in law Louisette Dupuis of Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
