HIGHLAND - Vera E. Reger, age 84
of Highland, passed away on Friday,
August 26, 1999 at Bloomfield
Manor following a long illness. The
former Vera Davenport was born
near Lone Rock on April 4, 1915 to
Henry and Myrtle (Labounty) Davenport.
She married Hank Peavy
hi 1937 and he preceded her in
death in 1939. Vera married Lester
Reger of Highland on January 18,
1941. They farmed in the Cobb and
Fennimore area until retiring to Livingston
in 1964. Following Lester's
death on October 1, 1975 Vera
moved to Highland. Vera is survived
by. a son, two daughters,
fifteen grandchildren; 18 great
grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren;
three sisters, Violet Bierman
and Catherine Schroeder, both
of Spring Green, and Dorothy (Bob)
McCracken of Portage; as well as
many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was also preceded in death by
her parents; a sister, Florence Foster;
four brothers, Roy, Arthur, Walter,
and Robert Davenport; and a
very special friend, Bud Michek.
