Setma K. Ramlo, 85, a 27-year resident of Palm Desert, died Oct. 31, 2000, at home.
She was born Sept. 27, 1915, to Fritz Kuhnert and Emilie Beyer Ramlo in Tynan, Texas.
She worked as a secretary with the Trinity Lutheran Church in Indio for 20 years.
She was chairman of the board of education, president of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, a Sunday School teacher and a choir member at Trinity Lutheran.
She was welfare and philanthropy chairman for the Women's Club of the Desert and a member of Palm Desert Country Club.
She is survived by four sons, Orvin, Jr. of Las Vegas, Robert of Placentia, Jerry of Oakland, and Lee of Orange; her daughter, Sandra Hooten of La Quinta; her sister, Alpha Heider of Seguin, Texas; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvin, in 1977; and one brother.
Visitation will be fromm 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday at FitzHenry Funeral Homes in Indio.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Indio.
Interment will be in Coachella Valley Cemetery under the direction of FitzHenry Funeral Homes, Indio.
