Marvin was a veteran of the Korean War and an entrepreneur, starting numerous companies throughout his life. He was also actively involved and very proud of the many organizations that he belonged to.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Kolp; father and mother, Hoyt and Muriel Kolp.
Marvin is survived by daughters Kathy (Robert) Foster and Terri (Bruce) Didion, grandchildren: Nicole Rinker, Chip (Kristi) Rinker, and Danielle (Willie) Melvin, great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Rinker and Macy Rinker, Sisters: Carolyn McNeely and Nancy McCalip.
