Rose was born March 30, 1919 in Loveland, CO to Henry and Eva (Frank) Willmann.
Rose graduated from Loveland High School in 1938. She married Karl Erbes on November 15, 1941 in Windsor, CO. They were married for 54 years when Karl passed away on March 29, 1996. Rose lived in the home they built in 1946 for 60 years.
Rose worked as a switch board operator for Mountain Bell in the 1950’s before dial phones were available. She enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She enter her canned fruit and vegetables in the Weld County Fair for years winning Grand Champion or Reserve Champion many times. Rose also entered furniture she refinished and re-upholstered. She enjoyed going to and having her own garage sales. Rose also enjoyed couponing and refunding.
Rose is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, daughter and son-in-law, grandson and wife, two great grandchildren, two sisters, two brothers, nieces and nephews [survivors names omitted].
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Karl; one sister, Minnie Ragsdale and two brothers Henry and Arnold Willmann.
Viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday August 1, 2013 followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. both at Faith United Church of Christ, 1020 Walnut St., Windsor. Interment Lakeview Cemetery in Windsor.
