Norma Jean Kimm was born on May 20, 1920, in Oskaloosa to Reese and Millie Amelia (Richards) Wolf.

She spent most of her life in Knoxville. After her marriage to Stanley Kimm on May 30, 1937, the couple lived in Vinton and Burlington before returning to Knoxville. Norma held many jobs. She worked at Wolf Bakery, Baker Drug and at Loynachan's, was a beauty consultant, and an infield concessions manager at the Knoxville Raceway and a homemaker.

She was involved in a number of activities. Norma was a member of the First Christian Church, a Sunday School teacher, a Bible School teacher, a Deaconess, a member of the Marion County Historical Society, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star (Past Matron), a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader and a volunteer for over 19 years at the West Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She also enjoyed ceramics, crafts and decorating.

Norma died on Jan. 7, 2006, at the Mercy Hospice in Johnston at the age of 85.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stan; and brothers, Dale and Bill Wolf.

Norma is survived by her children, Ron Kimm of Urbandale and Nanci Kimm-Schaper (Ken) of Windsor Heights; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Inez Kimm of Coralville and many other family members and friends.
