Funeral services for V. L. (Dutch) Dehner of Frankfort will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort, with the Rev. Ray Mills officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery near Monticello.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
Mr. Dehner, 73, died at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday following a heart attack. He became ill while returning home from a meeting of the Masonic Lodge.
Born in Benton County on March 10, 1894, he was a member of First Methodist Church, Frankfort; Clinton Masonic Lodge No. 54, Clinton Chapter 82, Frankfort Council 46, and Frankfort Commandery 29. He had been a secretary for the Frankfort Masonic Lodge for the past 15 years.
Mr. Dehner came to Frankfort in 1940 from Franklin and operated a restaurant in Frankfort from 1940 - 1952. His first wife, Cora Fiatt, died in 1916. In 1926, he was married to Pearl Johnson, who survives.
Surviving in addition to the widow are a son, Truman L. Dehner of Lebanon, two daughters, Miss Barbara Dehner of Indianapolis and Mrs. Donel (Carolyn) Lee of Atlanta; two sisters, Mrs. Elbert Baumer and Mrs. Edward Spinn, both of Reynolds, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
