Son of the Duke of Anhalt Chamberlain and forester Roderich of Beulwitz. Served as a Lieutenant in the Prussian Army in World War I. After the war he was involved in the Brandenburg Rifle Battalion, Freikorps Oberland and claimed to have participated in the 1923 Putsch. From 1923 to 1933, he was a university student, involved with student military camps and served as a military sports instructor. He joined the NSDAP in 1933 and rose to the rank of SA Strumfuhrer in the 14th standard of the SA upper group Berlin-Brandenburg. He was arrested and executed by the SS in 1934.
