Martha F. Grimmer McCrady, 60, died Sunday at Lutheran Hospital. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, she was an executive director with Hope House, Inc. and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was also a former board member for Allen County Drug and Alcohol Consortium, The Homeless Task Force and current member of the Allen County Drug Courts.
Survivors include her husband, Donald of Fort Wayne; three sons, Tim and Dan of Fort Wayne; Tom of Mt. Prospect, IL; daughter, Ellen Younkin of South Lyon, MI; four sisters, Ann Applegate of Citrus Heights, CA; Mary Helmkamp and Barbara Hoevel of Fort Wayne; Veronica Schaitman of Bethesda, MD; three brothers, Mark and Roy Grimmer of Fort Wayne; Thomas Grimmer of Mt. Vernon, WA; nine grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Thursday with calling one hour prior at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road. Calling also 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday with Vigil at 8:30 p.m. at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
