Gerald E. "Bud" Endres, age 83, of Waunakee, died on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006 at St. Marys Hospital in Madison. He was born in Waunakee, on Nov. 3, 1922, to Joseph and Theresa (Kalscheur) Endres. Bud was a lifelong resident of the Waunakee area. He married Rosetta Ziegler on June 26, 1946, and she preceded him in death in 1977. He farmed in Springfield Township until 1975. He then hauled milk for AMPI until 1987. Bud enjoyed fishing and he loved nothing more than a good card game. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Waunakee and the Waunakee Knights of Columbus. Bud is survived by; two daughters, Rosie Endres of Portage, and Sandy (Bob) Neerland of Verona; two sons, Mike Endres and Jerry (Connie) Endres, both of Waunakee; six grandchildren, Jeff (Rachel) Acker and Jon (Jenni) Acker, Christy and Shawn Endres, and Ryan and Breanna Neerland; a great-grandchild, Madison Acker; and a sister, Jeanette (Meinrod) Diederich. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosetta; his twin brother, Harold and his brother LaVerne; and two daughters, Vicki Acker and an infant daughter, Rosemary. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2006, at 11 a.m. at ST. JOHNS CATHOLIC CHURCH in Waunakee. Monsignor James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday, March 2, 2006, at the WINN FUNERAL HOME in Waunakee, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Fri. from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at the Waunakee Manor and special thanks to Bud's friends who came to play cards with him regularly.
