David Ross Florea, 48, of Hopkins, Mo., died on June 20, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital, Maryville, Mo.
David was born Feb. 10, 1958, in Maryville, the son of Orville and Mary (Sumy) Florea.
A 1976 graduate of North Nodaway High School, Hopkins, David married Tammy Sue Morehouse, Aug 6, 1977, in Hopkins.
He was in maintenance at the Energizer Battery Plant in Maryville. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orville Wayne Florea on March 24, 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy of their home; son, Jack Florea, and his fiance, Julie Jo Hughes, Hopkins; daughter, Angela Florea Heideman, Hopkins; grandson, Dyland Heideman; his mother and stepfather, Mary and Virgil Carpenter, Agency, Mo.; brothers, Stephen, New Castle, Okla.; Dwight, Maryville; and Jim, Hopkins; sisters, Diane Ashbaugh, Maryville; and Connie Kruppstadt, St. Joseph; stepbrothers, David Carpenter, Agency; Steven Carpenter, Harding, N.Y.; and Ronald Carpenter, St. Joseph; stepsisters, Christine Martin, St. Joseph; Diane Nation, Springdale, Ark.; and Debbie Lebor, Elwood, Kan.; mother and father-in-law, Ralph and Arieta Gordon, Maryville; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held on June 24, at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Mo.
Burial: White Oak Cemetery, Pickering, Mo.
