Georgina Marie Kanzler, 84, of Greeley, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Hospice of Northern Colorado. Georgina was born on April 21, 1930 in Loretto, Kansas to John and Martinia (Schoenberger) Suppes.

When Georgina was seven, her family moved to Colorado. She attended high school in Brighton.

Georgina married Wendell Poland in December 1947. They later divorced. She married John H. Kanzler on November 4, 1962. He passed away on November 22, 1996.

Georgina was a housewife and mother. She farmed with John in the Kersey/La Salle areas for 13 years. After retiring from farming, the family moved to La Salle, where she sold Avon for 26 years. For most of those years she made President's Club and Honor Society. One of her biggest joys in life was helping raise Bobbi and Tammi Geisert. She was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and she was very active with Trinity Lutheran Church.

Georgina enjoyed her family, camping, fishing, gardening, crossword puzzles and reading. Her biggest passion was for her Lord, Jesus Christ. She spent time with Him daily. She read through the Bible at least once a year.

Georgina is survived by her children, Eugene (Siriporn) Poland of Evans, Lynne (Chris) Poland of Westminster, Tim (Connie) Poland of Billings, Montana, Betty (Mark) Gillespie of Greeley, Johnna (Christopher) Mossor of Scott AFB, Illinois, Mike (Donna) Smith and Gary Novotny all of Phoenix; two sisters, Dorothy Brown of Thornton and Georgina (Jim) Isaac of Lousville, Kentucky; one brother, Sonny (Charlene) Suppes of Brighton; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John, daughter, Patty, daughter-in-law, Dixie , three brothers and five sisters.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, September 1, 2014 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice of Northern Colorado in care of Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 West 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634.
