Olive Prentice Dies; Funeral Held Tuesday - Mrs. Olive Prentice, an active member of the Pacifica Fuchsia Society, and retired Los Angeles city employee, who lived with her sisters in Pacifica for the last six years, died at Peninsula Hospital Saturday evening, Jan. 28 from Pneumonia. Mrs. Prentice had entered the hospital for surgery on the preceding Monday and was making a successful recovery when the complications developed that caused her death. According to her sister, Mrs. Inez White, with whom she lived at 1260 Seville, Mrs. Prentice had a "green thumb" and enjoyed her garden at Pacifica. She was recording secretary for the fuchsia society in 1966. In addition to Mrs. White, she is survived by another sister at her Pacifica residence, Mrs. Evelyn Johnson, and two other sisters, Mrs. Emma Larson of San Luis Obispo, and Mrs. Nathalie Renke, Paso Robles. A brother, Charles Erickson lives in San Mateo. Mrs. Prentice's husband was the late James Prentice of Los Angeles. Funeral services were held yesterday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel by the Sea Mortuary with burial at Cypress Lawn. [unidentified saved newspaper clipping]
