Ida Christine (Weil) Rueb, 97, of Beulah, died on September 27, 2014, at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen.

Services will be held at 10:00AM CDT, Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah, with Pastor Mary Lou Aune officiating. Burial will follow at the Beulah City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00PM, Monday, at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.

Ida was born June 15, 1917, to Katherine (Fischer) and Jacob Weil at their homestead south of Beulah. She was baptized on June 30, 1918, and confirmed in her faith on June 16, 1931, at the Zap Congregational Church. Ida attended rural schools and completed eighth grade.

She worked at the Greystone Café and with the NYA. Ida married Herbert Rueb, on October 13, 1940 in Beulah. Together, they raised four children; Marlin, James, Karen, and Sharon. They farmed northeast of Beulah until they moved to Beulah in 1959. They were members of Zion Lutheran Church all of their married life. Ida and Herb were married 63 years when Herb passed away on December 12, 2003.

After the flood of 2009, she moved to the Golden Crescent Manor in Hazen, where she made new friends that brought much joy to her life. In February 2012, she became a resident of KRCC in Beulah.

Ida was noted for her musical talent, her love of letter writing, reading, and playing Skip-Bo and pinochle with family and friends. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren and had many stories to share. She loved her Lord and spent time each day reading and meditating on his word. Her kindness and love of family was a reflection of her giving nature.

She is survived by her son, Marlin of Beulah; her daughters, Karen (Jerry) Knoell of Hazen and Sharon Tesky of Mandan; and daughter-in-law, Linda Rueb of Beulah; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Herb; son, James; daughter-in-law, Ruth Rueb; one infant daughter, Audrey; stepfather, Ludwig Neher; brothers, Henry and Shorty Weil; sisters, Ann Miller, Ruth Kusler, Tillie Miller and Alvina Oster; one stepbrother; seven stepsisters; her best friend, Jesus.

God bless her memory, as she touched many lives and will always be remembered for her smile and zest for life.
