Mrs. Dora S. Kellogg Died Tuesday.
Mrs. Dorothy Schatz Kellogg died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F. L. Webster, in Cedar Rapids, last Tuesday.

She sustained a stroke of paralysis Friday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock, which was the contributing cause of her death. She had not been seriously ill until she suffered the stroke on Friday.

The subject of this sketch was a daughter of August and Elizabeth Schatz. Her maiden name was Dorothy M. Schatz. She was born in Cascade, December 7, 1856.

When she was a small child her father's family removed to Canton, and later to Anamosa. In 1866, the family settled on a farm in Richland township hear Monticello. It was on this farm that her marriage occurred to William F. Kellogg, in November,1878. Mr. Kellogg died March 24, 1910.

The surviving children are Ernest Kellogg of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Mrs. F.L. Webster, of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by a sister, Miss Bertha Schatz, and a brother, Carl A. Schatz, of Monticello.

Her body was brought to the home of her sister Miss Bertha Schatz, Wednesday afternoon. Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Friday) at the Methodist church at 2 o'clock. Rev. Albert E. Coe, pastor of that church, will have charge of the services. Interment will be made at Oakwood cemetery.
