RICHARD N. WELLS "Dick" Passed away suddenly on July 15th, 2006 at the age of 54 in San Lorenzo. Beloved husband of 25 years of Diane Wells, devoted father to Jenna Wells of San Leandro, Kevin Wells of San Lorenzo, and Scott and Shana McKenna of North Carolina. Adored son of Ward Wells of Lafayette and preceded in death by his mother Margaret Wells. Loving brother of Greg Wells and Kate Commerford of New Mexico. Their spouses, Cindy and Brian, nephews, Joaquin and Jesse. Dick was an avid sports fan, especially of his beloved Oakland A's. He was born in Berkeley and earned a Master's degree in Geography from Cal State Hayward. He worked for 31 years for AT&T in San Francisco. He loved nature and was renowned for his beautifully landscaped yard. He was loved and respected by all that knew him and was always a source of strength. He will be dearly missed by all but left a legacy of love. A private memorial service will be held July 22, 2006. In lieu of flowers, please send donations payable to the "Dick Wells Memorial Fund" at 1041 Upper Happy Valley Rd., Lafayette, CA 94549.
