RED LION — Mary L. (Stump) Sechrist, 90, of Red Lion, died Sunday at her home. She was the wife of the late William M. Sechrist Sr.
The service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Bethlehem (Stonepile) United Methodist Church, Bethlehem Church Road, Red Lion. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewings will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Home 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, and 9 to 10 a.m.
Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Sechrist was born Sept. 27, 1905, in Springvale, Windsor Township. She was the daughter of the late George W. and Emma J. (Schlag) Sechrist.
She was a life member of Bethlehem (Stonepile) United Methodist Church, its Women's Society of Christian Service and Willing Workers Sunday School class.
Mrs. Sechrist is survived by three sons, Robert Sechrist of Fawn Grove, Thomas Sechrist of York and William Sechrist Jr. of Seattle; three daughters, Mary Ellen Beaverson of Wrightsville RD 1, Gladys Taylor of Brogue RD 1 and Barbara Knisely of Mifflinburg; 42 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sechrist was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Sechrist and Kenneth Sechrist, and two daughters, Nancy Sechrist and Virginia Sechrist.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev.Thomas R. Osenbach, and her son-in-law, the Rev. Ned L. Knisely, pastor of Hillside Bible Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem (Stonepile) United Methodist Church, Bethlehem.
