MR THOS. WENKE.
Mr Thomas Wenke, son of the late
Mr Martin Wenke, formerly pro-
prietor of the Doma Mungi hotel,
Chiltern, died suddenly on Friday
last. Deceased, who was 38 years
of age, was licensee of the Tower
hotel, Doncaster. He ate a hearty
dinner and was serving behind the
bar during the afternoon. He retired
to the parlor after attending to some
customers and almost immediately ex-
pired. Death was due to heart
failure. Deceased, who was twice
married, leaves a widow and one
child to mourn their loss. The remains
were brought to Chiltern by the
midday train on Monday and interred
in the New Cemetery, and were fol-
lowed to their last resting place by
a large number of friends of deceased.
Service at the graveside was read by
the Rev. F. Grist, and Mr A. H.
Smith had charge of the funeral
arrangements.

In memory of Janet, beloved wife of Thomas Wenke, died at Chiltern 20th Sep 1905, aged 59. Blow gently ye wild winds o'er her cold flowery grave. Thomas Wenke, the beloved husband of Louisa, died suddenly at Doncaster, 16th January 1914. I am deprived of him o Lord, who was to me most dear.
