Ronald was engineer in charge for the New York State Department of Transportation, retiring in April 2000 after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Train Collectors of American, Lionel 50 Club and the Church of St. Adalbert in Schenectady. He was an avid model train enthusiast and the owner of 'Big Ronnie's' who sold and traded 'Lionel' trains all over the east coast. He is survived by two daughters, his mother, Mrs. Jane Kapela Szczepanski of Schenectady; one brother, a grandchild, aunts, uncles, a niece, a nephew and cousins.
