William "Bill" Morasch, age 86, of Oshkosh, passed away at his home on Wednesday evening, January 7, 2009. He was born on December 6, 1922 in Oshkosh, a son of the late George and Marie (Koch) Morasch. He married the former Germaine Spanbauer on April 19, 1947 in Oshkosh. Bill served his country in the US Army during WWII as a medic and he greatly enjoyed golf and wood working.
His memory will be cherished by his wife Germaine of 61 years; four sons, Richard (Carol) of Fairfax, Virginia, Ronald (Carol) and Dennis (Paula) both of Oshkosh and Gregory (Linda) of Plainfield, Illinois; three daughters, Patricia (Otto) Krueger and Nancy (Allen) Sonnleitner both of Oshkosh, Lisa (Brian) Cahoon of Pickett; eleven grandchildren, Julie (Tim) Last, Jennifer (Krisda) Jirochvong, Kevin Morasch, Sara (Andrew) Taylor, Michael (Kasey) Morasch, Eric (Liz) Krueger, Ryan Krueger, Jason Krueger, Adam, Alex and Troy Sonn-leitner. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services for Bill will be held on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the Lake View Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with the Reverend William Vande Kreeke officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow. A time of visitation and support will be held for the family at the cemetery chapel on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
