ATLANTA -- William S. Green, 56, died Jan. 13 at home. He was born in Tulsa, Okla., and was a former resident of St. Simons Island. He was a graduate of Northside High School in Atlanta, attended Cornell University, was a 1964 graduate of Georgia Tech and received a master of business administration degree from Harvard Business School in 1969. He was a founder and senior partner with Cravey, Green & Wahlen and was an Army veteran.
He was a founding member of the Atlanta Business Roundtable and a member of the boards of Insurance Information Technologies Inc., and MedAscend Inc. He was a member of the Society of International Business Fellows and Little Cumberland Island Homes Association and was a major supporter of Georgia Tech.

SURVIVORS: his mother, Doris Shelander Green of St. Simons Island; two brothers, Wilson O. Green Jr. and Robert N. Green of Atlanta; two nephews, Nathan Green of Black Mountain, N.C., and Joshua Green of Atlanta; and a niece, Stephanie Pischke of Atlanta.
