E. Earl Feike
Memorial service for E. Earl Feike, an attorney and resident of Portland for 61 years, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church.

Mr. Feike, who lived at 735 SW St. Clair St., died Monday in Des Moines, Iowa of a heart attack. He was 85.

Born Sept. 30, 1886 in Newport, Ohio, Mr. Feike was graduated from Drake University in 1911 with an LLB degree and was admitted to the Oregon Bar in 1914. He had practiced law in Portland and taught business law at Multnomah College 25 years.

A veteran of World War I, Mr. Feike was a life member and past master of the Mt. Hood Lodge No. 57 AF and AM and a member of the Scottish Rite, the Auld Lang Syne Society and the City Club.

The legal counselor for the Northwest Christian Home for 35 years and the treasurer of the Union Gospel Mission for 45 years, he was also a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Enola W.; son E. Earl Jr., Woodland, Calif.; daughters Mrs. Wendell (Ramona) Weatherly, Eugene and Mrs. J.R. (Wilma) Hulbert, Crescent City, Calif.; brother Charles F., Portland and sisters, Mrs. B.W. (Zelta) Rodenwald and Mrs. John S. (Alice) Wieman, both of Portland.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren.

Private entombment will be in Riverview Abbey.

Visitation hours will be from noon Wednesday to noon Thursday at Ross Hollywood Chapel. The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the First Christian Church Expansion Fund or a favorite charity.
