Beloved mother and grandmother passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 at her home. Age 86 years. The only child of the late Alden Stewart and Frances Rebecca (Wood) Marvin. She lived her childhood in South Haven, Michigan until moving to Saginaw in 1942. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1945. She attended Alma College and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Western Michigan in 1949. She received her Master of Arts Degree from the University of Michigan in 1964. She married Richard W. Maul on November 4, 1966. He predeceased her in 1999. She taught for 31 years for Saginaw Public Schools. She taught for 2 ½ years at Fuerbringer School and 28 ½ years at Kempton School retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. Margaret was a member of the SARSP, MARSP and NRTA and was a life member of the University of Michigan and Western Michigan University Alumni Association.

Surviving are two daughters and one son, Rebecca Ann (Greg) Chapie, Midland; Sarah Frances (Matthew) Evangelista, Farmington; Roy Vance Lamoreaux, Houghton Lake; seven grandchildren, Lawrence Lamoreaux , Roy Lamoreaux , Ryan Chapie, Alexandria Chapie, Emma Feeheley, Annabella Evangelista and Ava Evangelista; a great-granddaughter, Haley Lamoreaux; dear cousins, Margaret Reusch and Kathryn Sarcozy, both of Kalamazoo.

Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 123 N. Michigan Ave. The Rev. Daniel Cannon will officiate. Private burial will take place in Lake View Cemetery in South Haven, Michigan. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Heartland Hospice.
