John Edward Walser, 52 Acacia street, died at 12:10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks. Born in Hazleton, he was a son of the late Frank X. and Sophia (Kroll) Walser. He was associated with Julius Hyman, Inc., for many years. The deceased was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Hazle Lodge 327, F. and A.M.; Mt. Vernon Commandery No. 73, Knights Templar; Royal Arch Chapter No. 277; Irem Temple Shrine, Wilkes-Barre; the Hazleton Masonic Craftsman Club and a life member of Hazleton Lodge 200, B.P.O.E.
Surviving are his wife, the former Carrie Gliem, and these brothers and sisters: Joseph, Charles, Mrs. Anna Maue and Mrs. Lewis (Emma) Kesselring, all of this city.
The funeral will be held privately on Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Bachman Funeral Home. Rev. William Y. Gebhard, pastor of Grace United Church of Christ, will officiate. Interment will be in the Vine Street Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m.
