Before 1910 he moved to Iron River, Bayfield Co., WI to help his brother, William with his farm and livestock.
On Feb. 11, 1922 he was married to Anna Peterson. They farmed in Bayfield Co., WI and they had two children. The two brothers continued to live with and then later next door to each other's family. Oscar passed away Sept. 14, 1944.
He was survived by wife, Anna Ziemer, daughter, Constance Ziemer and son, Donald Ziemer all of Iron River, WI; father, Henry Ziemer of Waltham, MN; brothers: William Ziemer of Iron River, WI; Sam Ziemer of Galesville, WI, Herbert Ziemer and Arnold Ziemer; sisters: Mrs. Beata Hildreth, Mrs. Laura Wuertz and Miss Hilda Ziemer.
He was preceded in death by mother, Emilie Ziemer in 1922; brother, Gustave Ziemer in 1944; and sister, Ruth Ziemer in 1908.
