Buddy Bloch, age 51 of Seguin, passed away on November 8, 2014. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Emanuel’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul J. Zwarich officiating. Interment will follow in the Warncke Family Cemetery. Buddy was born on April 26, 1963 in Seguin, Texas to Wilbert Albert and Betty Jean (Shiebe) Bloch. He was a 1981 graduate of Seguin High School. For the past 27 years he worked for Dillard’s Department Store as an Electrical and Maintenance Escalator Engineer. He was a member of Emanuel’s Lutheran Church and the American Legion H U Wood Post 245 in Seguin. Buddy loved deer hunting and fishing with family and friends. He enjoyed his gambling trips and was a faithful Houston Astros Fan and Dallas Cowboys Fan and loved attending games. He was an excellent cook and grill master and was a handyman that could fix anything. Buddy was known for his legendary Christmas Lighting event every year, which friends and family always looked forward to. His most precious times were spent at the weekly Bloch family gatherings on Thursday nights at the home of his parents. Buddy was the greatest uncle that any nieces and nephews could have. Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years Lesa Bloch and their loving pet Bruiser; parents, Wilbert and Betty Bloch; sister, Tracey Schuehle and husband Jeff; brother, Wesley Bloch and wife Lisa; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Verna and Daniel Strempel; brother-in-law, Terry Strempel; nieces and nephews Zachary and Tanner Schuehle, Chloe and Lily Bloch, Brittany McGinn and Tyler and Zachary Strempel; great-nephew, Stetson Mueller; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Miles “Bubba” Engelke, Jerry “Pooch” Blankenship, Albert “Jr.” Bloch, Phil Seidenberger, Daniel Schriewer and Russell Schriewer. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be, Ronnie Glenewinkle, Tanner and Zachary Schuehle, Zachary and Tyler Strempel and Friends of the Beckers’ Deli. Memorial contributions may be made to the Guadalupe County Humane Society, P. O. Box 1593, Seguin, TX 78155-1593, the Texas Theatre, 425 N.
