Notes: Frederick W. Kreke, of Evansville, died at home Sep. 4, 1917. Deceased was born in Nuenkirchen, Oldenburg, Germany, Aug. 3, 1839. When three years old, emigrated to America with his parents settling in Cincinnati Ohio for five years then moving to Dubois County. Married Katherine Roettger on Feb 27, 1862. This union blessed with nine children-one son August preceded him in death.
