Selma Caroline Heese Abraham Engelke, 91, of Bellmead, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014. Visitation and Rosary will be at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 3, at Bellmead Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 4, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Selma was born in Westphalia, Texas, to the late Frank and Lena Heese. She was a registered nurse for a number of years in the Waco area. She was also a long time faithful member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and Catholic Daughter’s of America. Selma loved cooking traditional meals for her family and friends. She also loved watching the Dallas Cowboys play on Sunday afternoons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Abraham; son, Larry Abraham; sister, Lucy Abraham; and brothers, Walter and Robert Heese.

Survivors include her daughters, Lena Sly, of Oklahoma City, OK, and Doris Abraham, of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Stephen Brannon and wife, Terri, of Yukon, OK, Stacy Rollans and husband, Rick, of Oklahoma City, OK, Robert Abraham and wife, Alessandra, of Bedford, TX, and Laramie Vaughan, of Waco, TX; great-grandchildren: Chelsea Brooks, Brandon Beechly, Kellianne Beechly, Bob English, Molly Brannon, Zooey Montanya and Connor Abraham; great-great-granddaughters, Allison and Emilee Brooks; and a large extended family.
