Paul M. Gralla was born in DuBois PA on May 23, 1948; the son of Peter and Adeline Gralla. He was in the U.S. Army Airborne Division. He also had one sister, Caroline Richards and four brothers, John Gralla, Bill Gralla, David Gralla and Peter Gralla Jr. While enroute via an aircraft chartered by the Army to transport newly trained troops to Fort Benning GA, he was killed when the aircraft crashed near Ardmore, OK
