George Bath, 77, of Greeley, formerly of Loveland, died Saturday, Nov 6, at Fairacres Manor in Greeley.
He was born Nov 10, 1915, in Loveland to George and Anna Maria (Lesser) Bath.
On June 30, 1941, he married Viola Hein in Kimball, Neb.
Mr. Bath was a 1935 graduate of Loveland High School, attended one year of college at Colorado Agricultural College, now Colorado State University, and one year at Colorado Teachers College, now the University of Northern Colorado. He moved from Loveland to Greeley before World War II.
During World War II, he served in the United States Army with the 11th Armored Division, Company 496, Headquarter Battery 3rd Army, European Theater under General Patton.
Bath was a salesman at many different places selling major appliances. His places of employment included Western Auto/Gambles, O.G., Herdman Electric in Greeley for 26 years, and Sears before retiring.
He was a life member of the Greeley V.F.W.
Survivors are his wife, Viola Bath of Greeley; son and daughter-I-law, Terry and Linda Bath of Aurora; sister, Freda Weinbinger of Loveland; grandson, Jeromy Bath, and many nieces and nephews. Five sisters are deceased.
Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Loveland Burial Park. Military Graveside services will be conducted by the V.F.W. of Greeley.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salivation Army or the American Red Cross in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, Hunter Chapel.
