Son of Jacob and Catherine Magdalene (Hill) Roth, Harold married Mary Gaylord in Wenatchee in 1931. He worked many years as a baker, for a while managed a resort on the Chinook Pass highway, then went to Hemet, California where he was assistant manager of an RV/trailer park. In 1971 Harold and Mary moved to Coupeville, Washington, then in 1982 to Everett. In 2006 he moved to Oak Harbor where he lived in an assisted living facility.
