The Daily American (Somerset, Pa.), Friday, April 20, 1945:

Pvt. Michael Adamek, 19, son of Mrs. Eva Adamek, Cairnbrook, who was wounded for the second time, March 19, in Germany, has been evacuated to the United States and is receiving treatment at Cleveland, Ohio, for a fractured jaw and nose. He was injured the first time December 4 in Germany after being in action only a few weeks. He has been in the service since July 14, 1943. A brother, Pvt. Paul, 20, is serving in Germany.
