Obituary for Mrs. Jane Thompson Aldrich
Jane Thompson Aldrich, 82 of Statesboro passed away Saturday morning at her residence.

She was born to the late Sidney Johnson Thompson and Priscilla "Cilla" Elenor Blackburn Thompson in Chatham County.

She was a member of Newington Baptist Church and was a homemaker. In 1980, she moved from Sylvania to Statesboro and attended Georgia Southern College. She also had been employed for 25 years with the Screven County Board of Education as a paraprofessional. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Aldrich, Sr.

Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Ann H. Hendrix of Statesboro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Leslie Howard of Cocoa, FL and G. Mark and Terri Howard of St. Augustine, FL; stepdaughters, Barbara Connor, Muriel Allen, both of Statesboro, and Sandra Bruner of Newington; step-son, Joe E. Aldrich, Jr. of Millen; three grandchildren, Justin Howard, Joshua Howard, and Melanie Howard Newbern; and a great-granddaughter, Katelyn Lenell Newbern.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00pm at the Screven Chapel of Joiner Anderson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 11:00am in the Screven Chapel of Joiner Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Fowler.

Interment will follow at the Sylvania City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Justin Howard, Joshua Howard, Paul Bruner, Trey Thompson, Frankie Hendrix, and Arthur Allen, Jr.

Joiner Anderson Funeral Home Screven Chapel is in charge of all arrangements.
