Doris was born in Iron River, Michigan, to the late Frank and Tressa Mochen Hamacher. She served her country as a U.S. Army nurse on the front lines during World War II. She made nursing her career and retired as an RN. Doris was also a member of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Overton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene A. Rooney; and sister, Lucille Petterson.
Survivors include her son, Michael Rooney and wife, Gloria, of Sunrise, FL; daughters, Terry Allbaugh and husband, Al, of Wautoma, WI, and Katie Rooney McLane and husband, Rusty, of Overton; grandchildren: David Rooney, Shawn Rooney, Ryan Allbaugh, Sarah Johnson; great-grandchildren: Tristan Rooney, Damon Rooney, Isabelle Allbaugh, and Tyson Allbaugh; other relatives and many friends.
