Age 84, died Friday morning following a two month illness. She was born December 16, 1890 in Appleton where she was a lifelong resident. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Ladies of St. Mary’s, St. Elizabeth Hospital Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Marie A.) Simon with whom she made her home during the past year, Mrs. Alvin (Frances) Vander Linden, and Mrs. Floyd (Bernice) Weisnicht, both of Green Bay, Mrs. Robert (Jane) Baumann and Mrs. Carl (Margaret) Van Vreede, both of Appleton; two sons, Frank H., Appleton, and James R. of Kaukauna; a brother, Frank Plesser, Frankfort, Illinois; a sister, Sister M. Bernarda of Wheaton, Illinois; 37 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, John B. Stein Jr., and Harold M. Complete funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 o’clock at the St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. James Putman officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery
