Mr. Wiese's death October 21 at the age of 31 years, followed an accident at Jackson, Minnesota Sunday October 17
Funeral services were held from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Saturday morning, October 23 with burial in North Lawn Cemetery. Officiating at the service was Rev. M.C. Wendl
Pallbearers were Robert Boyd, James Morony, Arnold Sindt, George Anderson, Robert Harrington and Howard Nelson
Mr. Wiese entered the United States service, December 28, 1941 at Fort Des Moines reaching the rating of Staff Sergeant of the 224th. AAF taking part in the air combat of the Balkans, Rome air offensive of Europe
He received the following decorations; Distinguished Flying Cross Air Medal, Purple Heart and ETO ribbon with three bronze stars
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
