Grace Lorraine Mrnak was born in Leven Township, Pope County on February 5, 1921, the daughter of August C. and Evelyn L. Reichmann. She attended and graduated from Villard High School. On October 8, 1940, she was united in marriage to Ben Mrnak. Mr. and Mrs. Mrnak farmed in Leven Township until two years ago when they purchased an additional farm in Hudson Township, Douglas County and they have since made their home there. Mrs. Mrnak was active in Christian Mothers, Guild, and Mission Circle in St. John Nepomuk's Catholic Church, Lake Reno. She was also very active in Homemakers and in 4-H club work. Mrs. Mrnak is survived by her husband, Ben; two sons, Roger of Glenwood and Gerald of Minneapolis; two daughters, Dorothy (Mrs. Ken Meehling) of Mankato, and Nancy (Mrs. Dale Boyce) of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Darlene and Nathan Meehling; one brother, Clarence Reichmann of Glenwood; two sisters, Florence (Mrs. Walter Zavadil) and Berniece (Mrs. Richard Oeltjen), both of Glenwood. Pallbearers were Duayne Gaffaney, Ned Boyce, Ralph Engelbrecht, Richard Reichmann, Gary Hanson and Ronald Reichmann. A christian Mothers' Rosary and a wake service were held the evening of October 1 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Interment was held at St. Mary's Church Cemetery.
