SULLIVAN — E. Jane Jent Geiling, 77, of Sullivan, passed away 12:30 a.m. Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Sullivan Health Care.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Burial will be in Keller Cemetery, Lovington. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Jane was born April 02, 1935 in Decatur, the daughter of Joseph Henry “Hank” and Dorothy J. (Adkins) Burcham. She married Tom Jent July 2, 1952 in Lovington; he preceded her in death January 17, 1986. She married M. Richard “Archie” Geiling July 31, 1987; he preceded her in death on October 20, 2008. Jane was a beautician for over fifty years. She enjoyed playing pinochle with a group of friends. Jane loved to cook for her family and friends especially during the holidays. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Sullivan, a member of the Civic Women’s Club, and she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Jane was survived by her step mother, Pat Burcham of Sullivan; son, Jim (Debbie) Jent of Sullivan; step sons, Darrell (Kathy) Geiling of Lovington, and Gary Geiling of Decatur; daughter, Melanie (Luke) Byers of Sullivan; brother Dick (Nancy) Burcham of Sullivan. She is survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Jane is also survived by her special companion Angel.

She was preceded in death by one son and one step son.
