Herman Rehling, 66, Gering, Neb., passed away at his home last Friday afternoon. Among the Dalton community friends who attended the services and visited at the home after the services were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. J. Ernest Finn, Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Dugger and Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Geis, Jr. Herman Rehling was born February 12 at Pender, Neb. and grew to manhood there. He came to Dalton in 1930 and worked for the international Harvester Co. as a salesman until 1932. March 1911 he was married to Miss Audra Johnson at Scottsbluff. He farmed and ranched at Dalton until 1943 when they moved to Harrisburg and lived there until 1948, when they moved to Gering. In 1952 they returned to ranching at Harrisburg and had just purchased a home and moved back to Gering this November. While in Dalton at one time he was the manager of the Dalton Co-op Association. Herbert Schreinert family now own the Rehling farm northwest of Dalton. He was a member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Gering. A memorial fund was established for the Nebraska Heart fund. He had suffered several severe heart attachs recently. He is survived by his widow, Audra Rehling, of Gering, his son-in-law and daughter, Earl and Linda Singleton and their two daughters; a sister, Mrs. Agusta Heineman and a brother, Louie Rehling, both of Pender.
