He was a 1976 graduate of DeKalb High School. He has worked as a stone and brick mason ever since high school. He learned his trade working with his father then went to work for Auburn Concrete. He was a supervisor with Auburn Concrete and had worked for them for over 25 years.
He married Anne E Mitchener on February 28, 1998 in Auburn and she died June 20, 2007.
He is survived by his mother Ruth Likens of Auburn; daughter, Kristi Likens of Auburn; a son, Brian C. Likens of Montpelier, OH; a step daughter, Jessica Ruiz and her husband Tony of Garrett; a step son, Kellen Mitchener of Ashley; 2 grandchildren, Donovin Scott Harlan, Cooper James Harlan; 4 step grandchildren, Kaleb Sammons, Kameron Ruiz, Anthony Mitchener, Hayden Mitchener; 2 brothers, Mark Likens and his wife Lori of New Bremen, OH, Marty Likens of Aurora, CO.
