Tell City Anzeiger September 25, 1897 On Sunday morning in the home of his son Peter about 3 miles northeast of Tell City, Peter Schneider passed from this life at the age of 76 years and 19 months. He was born in Oldenburg, Germany and emigrated to American at the beginning of the 50's. He ran a farm for many years about three miles from Tell City, but had to retire years ago due to his increasing age. He leaves three sons, Martin, Michael and Peter, as well as two daughters, Mrs. J Hellinger of Louisville and Mrs. . Hilary Grammelsbacher of here, as well as several grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death around a year ago and a few weeks ago his daughter, Mrs. Nick Birchler, died. His burial took place on Tuesday morning from St. Paul's Church under the direction of Rev. Seibertz to St. Mary's Cemetery
